AI Image Policy
PhotoStock uses generative AI to create imagery, then reviews and selects the files that enter the collection.
What we disclose
Launch collection asset pages identify the images as AI-generated. PhotoStock does not describe a generated person as a real individual or a generated event as documentary evidence.
How images are reviewed
Images are selected for visual usefulness, plausibility, composition and obvious generation errors. Review reduces problems; it does not guarantee that an image contains no artifacts or factual inaccuracies.
Appropriate use
Images can be useful for commercial communication, presentations, conceptual illustration, advertising and editorial-style illustration where the image is not being represented as an actual photograph of a real event.
Do not use images deceptively
Do not use PhotoStock imagery to falsely accuse a real person, fabricate documentary evidence, impersonate an actual person, or misrepresent a generated event as something that actually happened.
